Sharing a sneak peek for Sara & Rich at their Pier 5 Hotel wedding in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor over the weekend.
So very excited that Bayside Bride has featured Christine and Alex’s eastern shore wedding on their blog today! Check it out!
The most difficult part of planning your engagement session is what in the world are you going to wear? You have a few dresses in your closet, but you want this to be special, you want to show off who you really are, you want to “wow”, and you definitely don’t want to look back in as little as 10 years from now and think “what was I thinking?” Unfortunately you just wrote a big check out to your caterer and your wedding dress is now going to need $200 in additional alterations because you may have taken the whole diet before the wedding a little too seriously. You don’t have to be limited to finding a dress on the discount rack. You won’t have to have a dress hanging in your closet that you wish you had somewhere to wear it again.
You have Rent The Runway now.
They have thousands of dresses to choose from in sizes 0-22. A dress for every personality, every color, every body shape, every length, just….EVERYTHING. Dresses are delivered to you clean and pressed and they also give you a backup size just in case the first dress didn’t fit the way you expected it to. Rental prices range from as little as $30 and as much as $498 (FOR A $20,000 DRESS!!!) The average price of a couture rental dress is $50-80.
There is no other company that offers such amazing designers for so little. Can you imagine wearing Carolina Herrera, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, Zac Posen, Christian Siriano, and Badgley Mischka? That is the tip of the iceberg. So many incredible designers are offered, I can’t name them all. I’m starting to sound like a spokesperson! I swear I am not affiliated or sponsored by them. But I can’t help but share a great find with everyone. The first time you rent with them you also get $25 OFF!
Here are a few of my favorite dresses that would be perfect for your next engagement session! I’m sensing a theme here…feeling a little nautical today.
Vanillia Scoop Shift by Moschino
Rental: $30 Retail: $1895
I met Sara & Rich in front of Ciao Bella in Baltimore’s Little Italy on a beautiful weekend evening. This was the restaurant where they were engaged, and it only seem fitting to start with a cocktail there before our session got underway. They are both so laid back and friendly, it was easy to capture the connection between them. I can’t wait to photograph their Pier 5 wedding in July!
When Alyson & Ricardo first expressed interest in having their engagement session at a vineyard, I started to get really excited. When she sent me the list of the top three vineyards that she liked, Aspen Dale Winery was the first words I saw when I opened her email. Not only are the grounds breathtaking, the wine is SO GOOD.
We met this past Sunday and we had perfect weather. My husband and I have both been working so hard, I asked him and our daughter to come along an hour before our session started. We were able to soak up some sunshine and sample the wines. Alyson & Ricardo met up with us shortly after that. My husband and daughter went off to pet the horses while I took A&R around the grounds to start their session.
I think Alyson looks absolutely stunning. (Ricardo I think you look great too). The two of them were so natural and there was a real connection between them. The entire session felt effortless to me!
Thank you for choosing me to be part of your wedding! I can’t wait until your big day!
I just want to start off this post by proclaiming my love for Christine and Alex, lol. They are genuine, and they are the real deal.
We started off the rehearsal at Maria’s Love Point Bed & Breakfast in Kent Island on Friday evening. I was really impressed with the entire property. Driving down the long gravel driveway and breathing in the Bay air, you are immediately relaxed and put the traffic on the Bay Bridge out of mind. Greeted by property owner Ed, he gave me a quick grand tour and few pointers for the wedding day. After a successful rehearsal, we headed back over the bridge to Bay Ridge Marina in Annapolis. The decor was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Christine & Alex have an abundance of wonderful family and friends and I hope everyone enjoys their pictures. I am giddy over the wedding images and can’t wait to share those when they are ready.
They are FINALLY married. I didn’t think this day was ever going to get here, and Laura and Christina’s wedding blew me away and exceeded every expectation I had of the day. It was a kick ass venue, all of the diy elements and just plain old hard work that they threw into this wedding was amazing. Bigger and better blog post will follow, but I wanted to get an image or two up for them before I host a boat load of people at my house tomorrow.
